The Hulk is a man that has a super power once he gets his blood pumping. his name is
Robert Bruce Banner when he is just a man, but once he gets angry they call him "Hulk". He used to live in U.S.A but the military was trying to capture him to take his blood. If they got ahold of his blood they could inject regular humans and give them the same mutation. The Hulk is known for his great strength, which increases more and more if his emotions or anger rise.
There has not been any other super hero in such a way of destruction. Dr. Bruce is so intelligent that no test can measure his level. Once he breaks and turn into the hulk, there is no way of stopping what he wants to do. one scene in the movie, he grabs ahold of a gods leg and slams him to the ground over and over and over.. Even though he is so intelligent, the hulk cannot speak, only grunt and scream( which can break objects and make you fly backwards).

The one big thing that get people is his size! He is 8 feet tall, 1,150 pounds and pure muscle. He is so strong is he claps he can create a shock wave! Also, he is no Michael Jordan, he better! he can jump 100 of miles in just one leap!

The hulk was first seen in the year 1962. he has changed over the years, but for the good. he is stonger, can do more physical abilities, and has a whole lot more money. The hulk has always been questioned as if he is a "hero" or if he is a "monster". It really goes into what you want to think he is, but he is known as a hero. He might not be like every other hero made, but once you say his name, everyone knows he is and what he is capable of doing. He has not met his match yet. The hulk is the best superhero for one reason, who can beat him? Nobody...
Ch. 4The Self and Interaction In Chapter four, they speak about personality changes betweeninfancy and adulthood. They said that there are three stages of the changesstarted from one to 5 as the first stage. This is called psychosexual stages ofdevelopment. This can be brought to my character, The Hulk, because he goesthrough three stages. His first stage is he goes from being a man to becoming theHulk, the second stage is he is the Hulk and he does whatever his anger wantshim to do, his third stage is he goes back from being the Hulk to being a humanconfused on where is and what he has done. Also, in chapter four there is a theory known as "Looking-Glass Self.” This is said to be a way for you to think what people look at you and think of what/ who you are with the judgment of others. Thisties in perfectly with the Hulk because he goes through judgment every secondhe is the Hulk. The Hulk to most people is a monster and a dangerous thing tobe around. They don’t understand that he is a super hero and he tries to helpkeep everyone safe, even if it has to be with violence.

Deviance
Deviancies defined as a behavior, trait, or a belief that’s different than regular(pg.153). This fits in perfect with the Hulk because he is known as a deviant super hero. He isn’t like any other superhero because of what he does and how he does it. His behavior is so out of the ordinary, which makes him who he is. Other super hero characters have some things in common, but nobody has anything in common with the Hulk.
In chapter six they talk about a theory known as Structural Strain Theory. This theory explain show someone’s attitude reflex on the way they do things. This for the hulk goes together for when he is the Hulk. When the Hulk is had at something, he will fix it by doing whatever he needs to do. He is in love with a girl and she was being taken away. He did everything he had to do to get her back. Even if it had to deal with him getting in serious pain or trouble.

Race and Ethnicity as Lived Experience
Ethnicity is defined as, another social category that is applied to a group with a shared ancestry or cultural heritage (pg.218). As for the Hulk, when he is human, he is white, a scientist, and a great medical hand. He speaks every language and knows how to stay away from trouble. when he turns into the Hulk, he turns green and does nothing but goes on a rampage. he loses all trains of thought, and does whatever he pleases.
They talk about three theories in this chapter, but it hard to say which one the Hulk would fit into. he's not like every other superhero where they are a specific race, The hulk turn from white to green over and over. he does not fit into a specific race, and he doesn't fit into a group/.

Politics, Education, and Religion In chapter 10, they state that Conflict Theory is "Social institution such as politics, education, and religon represent the interests of those in power and thus create and maintain inequalities in society."(pg.283) This can be part with the Hulk because he is always changing his life style and also seeing different religion and politics. He has to get more educated on where he is for the time he stays. He did not change religons, but he learned more on them and how they worked. Its hard to explain what the Hulk himself has feelings for in anything. Only thing people know about him is his anger and look. when he is human, he has his own lifestyle, but te Hulk can change it in a split second.

Health and Illness
The Hulk compares to Alternative Medicine, "a group of medical treatments, practices, and products that are used instead of conventional Western medicine." (pg.424) The Hulk has to do practices and treatments to keep his anger calm. He does a breathing technique that helps him keep his blood pressure down so he does not turn. he has a "doctor" that helps him keep control of himself. He shows him ways to calm down, ways to make his blood pressure go down quick, Its an old school way to do things, just like the Western Medicine.
The hulk has the Acute Diseases. this is when a disease that has a sudden illness. Right when the blood pressure gets high, he turns into the hulk quick. Once he becomes the hulk, there is no way in stopping it, unless his true love comes. He has a virus that changes him and his body expand es with loads and loads of muscle. Acute is also a way that spreads to others, but for the hulk it does not. you can take his blood and inject it into someone and they get the formation as the hulk as well.
